MS Office products are full of amazing features. The more you learn the more you have to explore.
There are times when we have a firm reason to change the author of a ms word doc or an ms excel spreadsheet. In some cases, the urge is to just replace the author name instead of deleting it. So in this post, I will show you how you can change or replace author name on your Microsoft word file in 2 ways:
Option 1
- Click on File > Options
- On the Pop-up, look under Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office on General Tab
- Populate User Name field with the desired author-name
- Check the box that says Always use these values regardless of sign in to the office
- Click Ok
Option 2
- Click on File > Save / Save As
- Select folder where you intend to save your file
- Now before clicking on the save button, update author name on the pop-up window
