What is a vlog?
As per Wikipedia,
A video blog or video log, usually shortened to vlog /vlɒɡ/, is a form of blog for which the medium is video, and is a form of web television. Vlog entries often combine embedded video (or a video link) with supporting text, images, and other metadata.
Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. Vlog category is popular on the video-sharing platform YouTube.
Vlogs are quite popular these days. Many viewers choose to watch vlogs over reading blogs.
Video marketing is always ruling the charts because of its diversified nature and eye-catchy visuals. And the best thing about vlogs is that a vlogger can vlog about anything in the world.

How to pronounce vlog?

What are the different types of Vlogs?
As I said above one can create a vlog on any topic like blogs. Similar to a blog, vlogs also have niches defined. Some use to make vlogs to showcase their skills by performing and recording a video and others create a vlog to teach. And if I talk about the revenues one can generate by vlogging, then take my words if you are good at it, go for it. It’s a huge business these days.
Choose a vlog niche that you think you are good at and start making vlogs related to your niche. Now you must be thinking why niche, why you just can’t create a vlog about random stuff.
Well, you can! But people will never recognize your channel for your expertise. However, if you will make vlogs sticking to only 1 niche, people will know that you are good at that topic and they would like to connect with your channel if they are interested in that topic.
In schools, we don’t have one teacher to teach us all the subjects. Right? The same way you can not be an expert of everything. This is the reason why you should just pick one niche for yourself.
Here I am going to share my example with you –
I created 2 videos just for fun 6 years ago when only a few people were making vlogs on YouTube. From those 2 videos, I made $106 within 2 months. As I tried it just for fun so I didn’t take it seriously. I left my youTube channel unattended for many years until now.
Just imagine if I took it seriously how much more I could earn out of it. I recently started uploading again to see if I can bring life to a dead channel. Its a part of my experiment.
