Temp Files as the name suggests are Temporary Files that are created by Windows while you are creating a file or folder. These files are also known as “Foo Files”.
Now you must be wondering why Windows create temp files at all? Well, Temp files are created as back up files by windows. These files come handy to recover the files which you may have lost due to the uninvited system shut down.
But when it comes to freeing up some space on a computer, deleting temp files is always recommended as cleaning up these clears out pretty good space. Moreover, since these files are just temporary ones, deleting them is absolutely safe.
Do you need a tool or cleaner to delete such files?
No, you don’t need any external temp file cleaner for that. It is an inbuilt feature in Windows itself which allows you to delete temp files quite easily.

Let’s see how to clear temporary files:
- Click on “Windows icon” settled at bottom left corner.
- Give command (%temp%)
- Hit “Enter” key. It will take you to Temp files folder.
- Press (Ctrl+A) to select all files.
- Press (Shift+Delete) to delete the files.
